The civil use of nuclear power still has a great significance for todays’ energy supply. In its role as important, low-emission bridging technology, it contributes to reduce the dependence from fossil energies.

Eupen Cable has almost 40 years of experience in producing cables for nuclear power plants. The safety of the facilities is the paramount concern of the plant operator.  Consequently, a comprehensive and application-related qualification of the cable products is a basic requirement. This is an essential difference to conventional power plant technology.

We offer our customers a full-range cable portfolio for the use in nuclear power plants, designed for the entire lifespan of the facilities. It comprises medium and low voltage power cables and communication and instrumentation cables. We produce these cables as LOCA (Loss Of Coolant Accident) resistant version for use inside the reactor containment or with conventional design for the non-nuclear part of the plant.
