Eupen Pipe, as an independent business division of Kabelwerk Eupen AG, offers individual solutions for gas supply, drinking water supply, disposal, geothermal energy, industrial plants and building equipment. These piping systems consist of high-quality PVC and PE pipes, fittings and molded parts. They are subject to strict quality controls and purity requirements. The production is carried out according to country-specific standards and quality marks.
The development of protective conduit systems for power, coaxial and fibre optic cables underlines the use of synergies between plastic pipe and cable technology. For electrical installations in buildings, halogen-free and flame-retardant pipes are preferred.
Since 2010, we supply also pipes made of the resistant material PE100-RC. These pipes are particularly suitable for alternative laying techniques such as horizontal flush drilling, ploughing, milling and open trench installation without sand bed.
In the context of sustainability, an important part of the company’s business policy, an investment in a regranulation plant for recycling production waste was made several years ago.
Thanks to intensive investment in plant technology in recent years, Eupen Pipe now has today very modern and efficient production facilities for the manufacture of plastic pipes.

Special Project EUCALENE PROTEC
For a special construction project in Switzerland, we supplied 3‑chamber drums equipped with EUCALENE PROTEC cable protection ducts.
The advantages?
These drums allow three different ducts to be installed simultaneously with ease, significantly reducing installation time and labour effort. More
Cable installation becomes faster and more reliable because the separate chambers provide optimal pull-through and guidance. At the same time, the drums save space on the construction site and ensure tidy, safe logistics. Additionally, multiple differents pipes can be transported on a single drum with separate colour coding, simplifying identification and later installation.

H2ready® certification
The H2ready® certification of Kabelwerk EUPEN PE gas pipes, especially the EUCALENE® and EUCARESIST® types, is a significant step forward on the road to decarbonization and achieving a climate-neutral future. These pipes are not only DVGW and DIN CERTCO certified, which guarantees a product lifespan of at least 100 years, but also an important contribution to the sustainability of supply networks.
In addition, the suitability of these pipes for the transport of hydrogen has been tested by the DBI, the Gastechnologische Institut GmbH. This includes in particular the permeation properties, which are crucial for the safe transport of hydrogen. It is possible to mix natural gas with up to 20% hydrogen or even to transport pure hydrogen (100%), as long as the permissible pressure classes for PE pipes are observed. The EN 1555-2 standard is relevant here.
Overall, these certifications ensure that Kabelwerk EUPEN products are not only durable, but also future-proof and sustainable.
